DPR Update for Fall Aquatics

Dear Community Stakeholders:


We are writing to provide you with an update of our fall aquatic activities. As of September 6, 2021, all outdoor pools are closed for the season. However, DPR’s 33 stand-alone spray parks will remain open, every day from 11am – 5pm through Sunday September 26.

To find a spray park near you, click here. As we look ahead to the Fall season, here a few updates on upcoming changes in operating hours and locations that are currently undergoing renovation. Starting Monday, September 20, DPR Indoor Pool Hours: Monday – Friday | 6:00am–9:00pm Saturdays | 10:00am-5:00pm

Please note, the Takoma Pool is closed for renovations (Reopening Spring 2022). Turkey Thicket Pool is also closed for capital renovations (Scheduled to reopen Winter 2022) and the Therapeutic Recreation Center is closed for capital renovations. We will be announcing hours for the Ferebee Hope Pool soon.

We are also pleased to announce the opening of some of the pools at DCPS (see below).

Starting Monday, September 20, DCPS Pool Hours: (Ballou, Dunbar, and HD Woodson) Monday-Friday | 6:00am-8:00am; 5:00pm-9:00pm. Closed 8:00am – 4:30pm for DCPS operation. Roosevelt High School Pool will be announced soon. Thanks again for your continued support.
