Mayor Bowser to Host Virtual 2021 Budget Engagement Forums
(WASHINGTON, DC) – This week, Mayor Muriel Bowser will kick off the Fiscal Year 2022 budget process by hosting her annual series of Budget Engagement Forums. The Forums will be entirely virtual, and residents can watch live and participate at budget.dc.gov.
The Forums will take place Thursday, February 18, at 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, February 20, at 11:00 a.m.
The Mayor and her team will present an overview of the current budget environment and hear from residents about their priorities. Residents can submit their ideas and feedback for the FY 2022 Budget by calling 202-442-4755 and leaving a voicemail, or by taking the survey on budget.dc.gov. Residents can also download the Mayor’s FY22 Budget Pocket Guide, which provides an overview of the DC Budget.
Since launching the Budget Engagement Forums in 2015, Mayor Bowser has used public feedback to make key budget decisions, directing unprecedented investments toward affordable housing, addressing neighborhood violence, supporting public schools, and creating more opportunities for DC residents.
