As you know these are very challenging times. The Lord has given Brightwood Park UMC and Albright Memorial UMC a wonderful pastor who works hard to serve our congregations and their communities well. He deserves our support. We are planning a Surprise Drive By on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 3PM at:

The Bible instructs us in 1 Thessalonians 5:12 to “Make sure that you show your deep appreciation for those who cherish you and diligently work as ministers among you.” And, Galatians 6:6 says, “The one who receives instruction in the Word should share all good things with their instructor.” To help us fulfill this biblical call to bless Pastor Gerald Elston, Sr., our churches are participating in the national Bless Your Pastor movement in conjunction with Pastor Appreciation Month.
So, we invite you to join us in prayerfully reading through the list of 50 Creative Ways to Bless Your Pastor. It is our desire that God will help all of us to share some of our time, talent, treasure and good things God has given us to show our appreciation and care for our pastor and his family.
For those of you who are willing and able, we would also like to take this opportunity to bless our pastor with a special offering. Please drop your cards, gifts and Love Offerings on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Surprise Drive By. You can also mail in or drop in your offering any time at the respective churches or address listed. Checks should be clearly marked for Pastor Appreciation or made out to Pastor Gerald Elston.
