Dear Takoma Aquatic Center Patrons:
As requested, the Department of General Services (DGS) is writing to provide an update regarding the Takoma Aquatic Center pool.
Currently, we are on target to complete the necessary pool renovations the week of July 25, 2022. Once the work is complete and the pool passes the necessary inspections from DC Health, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is prepared to reopen the pool to the public.
Please know that we are constantly communicating with our DPR partners regarding this schedule and are confident that the pool will open in early August, pending no unforeseen delays.
We again apologize for the inconvenience caused by the extended timeline and thank you for your patience.
